Oumar Dicko joined the leadership team at Windmill Microlending as National Director, Government Partnerships. Oumar started the role in September 2021.
Oumar will be Windmill’s first government relations leader with a focus on increasing government revenue while supporting the organization with their overall government strategy to support skilled immigrants. Oumar brings a depth of experience in government relations consulting, with Impact Public Affairs, was the Chief Economist for the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association. Oumar is a skilled lobbyist and has experience working in government with the Minister of Indigenous Affairs and Northern Development and the Minister of National Revenue. As an immigrant to Canada, Oumar wanted to give back and has been a long time Infantry Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces.
